- Must have attained Board Certification at some point or be Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. If board eligible, must be on the path to Board Certification. It is not mandatory that the candidate continue to be recertified.
- Either MD or DO candidates.
- Strong preference for American born and trained candidates, but will consider International Medical graduates with excellent communication skills and strong US residency.
- Not able to support Visa candidates
- Income guarantee available through the hospital. Employment arrangement available through Cleveland Medical Clinic. Option for partnership through the clinic after 1 year.
- Working with a high volume, private group made up of 2 IMs and 4 FPs.
- Hospitalist program participation where physician could rotate through a day shift (minimum of 4 hours in house) one week every 5 weeks; then provide OP only services the other 4 weeks. Weekend and night call is 1:6.
- Medical Clinic offers an array of ancillary services including, but not limited to, a full lab, x-ray, CT, pulmonary function testing, bone density, ultrasound, EKG, and nerve conduction testing.
- Medical Center offers an array of specialists to assist PC physicians providing comprehensive care to our community, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Neurology, OB/GYN, Urology, Nephrology, Podiatry, etc. BMC also provides a number of hospital services in addition to general IP services, such as Surgery, full-service Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, Swing Bed, Pain Management, Wound Care, Gero-Psych, Intensive OP Psych, etc.
- Salary range ~$175,000 to $200,000. This is negotiable. A higher salary could be guaranteed depending on the physician’s specific qualifications.
- Salary and first year expenses included in income guarantee arrangement.
- Sign on, student loan, relocation, marketing, and practice management incentives available and negotiable based on the physician’s needs.
- Recruitment efforts have become a high priority for several reasons. First, this clinic is the highest volume clinic in our community and they have to turn patients away almost daily because they cannot meet the demand. In addition, many of the PC physicians in our community have become OP only providers in recent years. The OP only physicians have arranged for their IPs to be cared for by the Cleveland Medical Clinic physicians. This clinic also lost a physician late last year because she married and moved to the town where her husband lives.
- The service area is approximately 50,000.
- Cleveland is located approximately 2 hours south of Memphis, TN, near the MS River. It's a college-town (Delta State University) with a very low crime rate, excellent locally owned and operated restaurants and downtown shops, and named one of the top 100 places to live in America. We have a Performing Arts Center, excellent park commission program for kids involved in sports, dance studio, state of the art aquatic center, top ranked public schools, and several private school choices. The Mississippi River is 17 miles away, so hunting and fishing opportunities abound in this area as well. All in all, a very nice place to live.
