Description
Responsible for assisting in the care of patients under the direction of an RN and LPN. Prov! ides basic nursing care to patients under supervision of a licensed nurse. Prepares operating rooms for surgery, using appropriate techniques. Assists in provision of intraoperative care by performing scrub duties.

Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in scrub duties required.
completion of a Surgical Technician course is required.
Experience:
one year of experience as a Tech, preferably in the area of application preferred.
Skills:
Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards under the supervision of an RN.
Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
Must exhibit proficiency in patient care and oral communication skills.
Certifications:
M! ust be CPR (BLS) certified.
NRP certification is pref! erred.
