As the Accounts Payable Processor I, you will be responsible for daily activities such as filing, entering vouchers, paying invoices through ACH, Checks and Wires.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Review check batches
- Validate vendor information
- Understand Open Items Report
- Follow up on open invoices and POs
- Actively involved in three way match and reconciliations
- Ability to process ACHs and Wires
- Ability to learn the Cost Point database and company structure in a timely manner
- Filing of all vendor activities (new files, paid invoices and POs)
- Audit Manual checks, voids, wires and ACHs
- Control check log and check stock
- Research incomplete Invoices, POs and Vendor data
- Generate reports essential for successful year- end
- Assist in Month End and Year End close
- Ability to prepare and generate 1099s
- Keep updated on AP changes and improvements
- Willing to learn Maximo data entry and importing
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- AA/AS degree with major in Accounting is desired.
- Two years’ experience in general accounting, preferably in an Accounts Payable environment.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Basic proficiency in WORD and EXCEL, 10 Key Calculator, Outlook
- must possess analytical, research and Customer Service skills.
