II, 27-bed, state-of-the-art Emergency Room and is the first accredited Chest Pain Center in Mississippi. Services include Behavioral Health, a 40-bed Chemical Dependency Unit, Cardiovascular Surgery, Maternal/Child Services, Gastroenterology, Medical Surgical Services, Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, Advanced Urological Services, Orthopedics, Interventional Cardiology/Radiology Lab, Diagnostic Imaging, The Sleep Center at River Region, Nutrition Services, Pain Management and Behavioral Health Services.
Description
The Director Maternal Child is accountable and responsible for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, Nursery and Pediatrics. This includes overall direction of clinical, human resources, and financial management.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Must have a valid license to practice profess! ional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the state.
BSN required.
MSN or masters in related field preferred.
Specialty certification in obstetrics preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of five years acute care maternal/child experience, including two years of management or supervisory experience.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Licenses/Certificates:
Current BCLS & PALS, NRP within 6 months, ACLS within 6 months, and AWOHNN Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months.
